Yeah, his stats would be great for any running back in the league to have, but he's supposed to be a QB, not a RB. He went 9-24 for about 80 yards passing and last week he went about 8-22 with around 100 yards passing. If he were white he'd be either out of the league by now or permanently a back-up.

It IS a race thing, the league wants oh so badly to make sure everyone knows that they aren't racist in any way, unless you're white of course and then that's ok (sarcasm).

It's Matt Schaub, that's the white guy who backs up Michael Vick, and he's done much better than Vick has in every game that he's had to play in when Vick was injured and etc. AND get this, he actually had a good completion percentage, and he threw more than he ran, IMAGINE THAT. I think one of the main reasons why Vick hasn't been benched in because of Atlanta's black racist fan-base that keeps buying Vick jerseys no matter how much he sucks at QB. They keep buying the jerseys because they think he represents them, and he does. He represents the part of their population that gets chance after chance when their non-productive in every way, and they contribute nothing to society (in Vick's case, the team).

Interesting question, and I agree. I don't know who Atlanta's back-up QB is but maybe Vick is a lot better than whoever it is and Mora knows he's better off w/Vick.

Geez, why is every question about race in sports these days. If a white qb has 4.3 speed and a rocket arm he'd be given many chances also. Head coaches arent debating about a starting qb and his backup thinking " i have to play this guy or bench this guy because of his race they play the best player period.

I believe he would be in the same situation as he is now. Michael Vick is a tremendous athlete, He may not be the best QB, but he is an all around player. no matter what his race is.

nope..atlanta spent so much money on vick with that extension they gave him last year or two years ago, they have no choice but to let him take the falcons down to rock bottom...its in the same situation as eli right now..granted vick has been around a lot longer..but giants invested a lot in manning and have no choice but to stick with him til the end

Race has nothing to do with it. There's too much $$$ involved to bother with that stuff anymore. Owners want to win, plain and simple. More wins = more tickets sold. It always comes down to money. The racial stuff doesn't really apply in sports much anymore. The majority of the players are black in the NFL anyway.
