My ex cheated on me and now we're trying to be friends. But she keeps slipping up and giving me more stuff about the relationship she had with this guy. Do you think that asking for the truth from her will help me to move on or should I just try to ignore it?

Man tell this chic to beat it. You got two things workin here. First she obviously aint over the affair or whatever she wants to call it. Secondly, she is just tormenting you needlessly. If she cared about you in any form or fashion she would get control of her damn tongue. Not cool to be havin slips while you tryin to fix what you broke. You may need to take some time away from her. Come to think of it do that. This way you can see what she all about. I say that because once she don't have you and she runs back to this guy then you have your answer. If she really wants you she will do what she has to do to work on gettin you back.
Give her hell!

why would u want to be friends with someone who cheated on u? u must be a masochist. grow a spine and say goodbye. what good is the "truth" now anyway? and remember - ur asking a liar to tell u the truth.
