games that make no sense?

I need some help. I downloaded "Splinter Cell Double Agent". I have a 2.0 AMD 64x2 processor computer.

Now what people have told me is that that really would make it between 3.0-4.0 in power and speed. But i dont know if i get that.

the game asks for at least 3.0, so when i play it it slwos down sometimes (espeicially in light changes). However I have trouble finding a 3.0 64x2 processor for sale.

So how do they put out a game that requires a non common processor? Is there anything i can do to help this?

Could be your video card, but if the game requires a 3.0 you must have a 3.0.
