A best friend scrapbook. Pictures of you guys together and other friends she's had through the years. Then get people to sign it like a yearbook/card. Put anything in it, like the wrapper of your fav chocolate, a swatch of her favourite jeans, etc. Anything that will link you and her friends together. Then put two tickets in the back pouch. The tickets are for a rock concert, or something you guys used to love. For a night of remembering what it was like to be a teenager. Then also realizing that your sure glad your not that age again! The music being loud and the screaming teenagers should do the trick!
Have fun

For my 40th my girlfriend made me a lovely photo frame with all photo's of our outings over the years. It is really good to look at all the changes to our hairstyles, clothes and shapes and sizes too. We had a great group of close friends, still do and it gives us all a good laugh sometimes That's something personal l feel and definately something nice to keep and treasure.

I believe you could give her something that YOU made, personally for her that comes from your heart, giving your best and full effort to finished it.Like embroided bag or wallet or hat, or a handmade picture frame that she could put your picture together, or a crosstitched picture that you made for her.By doing that she could really feel that you give your time just to show how much you love and appreciate her. Some great things are not the expensive ones, but things that comes from your heart and done by your hands. She will absolutely keep it like a precious diamond.Hope I helped you thats all.

i ordered a huge bouquet of flowers for my mother when she turned 40. To this day she still keeps the dried out petals in a potpourri glass in her bedroom, and looks at the card when she misses me. It's not as personal as I wanted to think of to help you, but i hope it helped a little.
I also got my mother a diamond pendant ( past, present, future) it's supposed to be for lovers but whatever my mom died when she saw it
oooh start a scrap book that's a keepsake it's something that will hold your best memories or buy it blank and go somewhere to create new ones.

depends on how much you want to spend. but i would take her away for a weekend getaway where the two of you can share the memories and create new ones that will last 4 ever. 40 is a big one and you should do something different and special.
how about a surprise party - with all her firends, family even long lost friends.

I was going to suggest something rude (a battery operated friend) but had an attack of conscience.
You should get her some kind of jewellery or an ornament or something. Perhaps a nice frame with a photo of you' together on some happy occasion.

A quality photo album with pic of friends & family with notes about them underneath. Photos like school days, first boyfriend etc are great keepsakes. Ask her family to help her out. Ask the partner if he minds the photos of the ex's (you can always give these loose!) Good Luck x

I always think a nice locket is a special present that can hold memories. You could put in a picture of each of you and have it engraved too.

I bought a diamond necklace for each of my best friends for their 30th, i'd suggest something special like this. A diamond is particularly meaningful to a woman!
