Can somebody help please, and can you possibly not copy and paste cuz I have a project on it this friday? Please help!!!! Thank you guys!!!!!! =)

There are various trends/properties observable in the periodic table of elements:
1. The elements in a column have same number of electrons in the outermost orbit of the atom. And this number is same as the column number. e.g. column no. 7 has elements (Fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, astatine) that have exactly 7 electrons in their outermost orbit.
2. The last column (8) are all inert gases.
3. First three columns are metalic (conductors), last four are insulators, the middle (4th) is semiconductor (with Carbon and Silicon).
4. The number assigned to an element is same as no.of protons in the nucleus of the atom.
5. As the atomic number increases, weight of element increases. Thus Hydrogen is the lightest of all. Also first few are gases, then liquids, then light metals, then heavy metals.
6. First two columns are rare earths and earths.
7. After and including Uranium (92), all elements are radioactive.

-_- Btw..be original..at least paraphrase the contents if you're already too lazy to read up on it.

Across period, metals -> metalloids -> non-metals. Atomic size decreases due to increasing effective nuclear charge as the shielding effect remains roughly the same due to the additional electrons being added into the same shell.

Across groups (downwards), atomic size increases due to additinal shells and weakening effective nuclear charge due to increasing shielding effect which outweigh the increase in nuclear charge.

Electronegativity increases across a period from left to right and decreases from top to bottom across a group. Thus F is the most electronegative element.

A pity..All of a sudden, I can only recall 3. Hmm if only I can think of the others.. Ah! I know! a Chemistry textbook always have such valuable and interesting information! -_- Go and read the rest. I do not know which level you're at so I would rather not confuse you at the moment.

Periodic trends

1.) METALLIC PROPERTY
-elements with three or less than 3 electrons on the outer energy level are classified as metals. elements with 4 electrons on the outer energy level are metalloids and elements with 5 or more electrons on the outer energy level are nonmetals.

2.) ATOMIC RADIUS
-is defined as half the distance between the nuclei of two like atoms joined together by a single bond

3.) IONIZATION ENERGY
-the energy required to give off an electron. (for example, Na+1 needs ionization energy to give off its extra electron to Cl-1 to form NaCl)

4.) ELECTRON AFFINITY
-simply the opposite of ionization energy. it is the energy required to accept an electron. (for example, Cl-1 needs electron affinity to receive the extra electron of Na+1 to form NaCl)

5.) IONIC SIZE
-the size of the atoms

6.) ELECTRONEGATIVITY
-the ability of an atom in a compound to attract additional electrons toward itself
