God the Father,
the Son
& the Holy Spirit.
Come to think of it though, the Holy Spirit doesn't have much of a role does it? The whole Bible is starring God & Jesus. The Holy Spirit is only mentioned a couple of times in the whole thing...what does it do? Does anyone know? There's a question!

The Holy Trinity is the most basic doctrinal belief of the Christian faith. The Trinity is a mystery to us, in that it's meaning must be revealed to us through the Father, since it is impossible to understand using our rational minds. The Trinity is made up of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - three distinct persons, yet all the same God. They are one, and cannot be separated, each being within the other, while at the same time each fulfilling differing roles, but each remaining equally God. At Baptism, each new Christian will declare their belief in God - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. You will not find the term "trinity" in the bible. The understanding is a revealed truth that became a doctrinal belief of the Catholic Church. Following the various splits within the Church, the Protestant Christians retained this basic doctrine of Christianity. Churches such as the Jehovah's Witness and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (the Mormons) do not believe in the Trinity, even though they are frequently (albeit, incorrectly) considered "Christian" churches.

Anything that can not be understood by the human mind and has to be "accepted blindly" is absurd.
"Blind faith" is not for an intelligent man.
Here is an analogy that helps to understand what is "trinity".
Think of the sun reflected into a perfectly pure mirror. If you look into the mirror you can see the sun in it. You can say that the sun is in the mirror. The mirror also reflects all the qualities and attributes of the sun - light, heat etc..-
The mirror could say then that the sun is in me. That is when Jesus for example says that the Father is in Him. Jesus is a perfect mirror that reflects all the attributes and perfections of God.
But at the same time the mirror is not the sun. That is when Jesus says that the Father is greater than Him.
The rays of the sun emanating from the sun and reflected in the mirror represent the Holy Spirit.
So the "sun", the "perfect mirror" and the "rays of the sun" emanating from the sun and reflected in the mirror represent the three elements contained in the notion of Trinity.
It has been interpreted as three persons in One which is obviously absurd and therefore has to be accepted blindly.

It is God being one but three persons at the same time.
The best work on the theme is by Saint Augustine The trinity
