I don't. It only gets a walk-on part in the Bible. God the father & Son are the focus. What does the Holy Spirit actually do?

This analogy may help to have a glimpse of what is the Holy Spirit.
Think of the sun reflected into a perfectly pure mirror. If you look into the mirror you can see the sun in it. You can say that the sun is in the mirror. The mirror also reflects all the qualities and attributes of the sun - light, heat etc..-
The mirror could say then that the sun is in me. That is when Jesus says that the Father is in Him. Jesus is a perfect mirror that reflects all the attributes and perfections of God.
But at the same time the mirror is not the sun. That is when Jesus says that the Father is greater than Him.
The rays of the sun emanating from the sun and reflected in the mirror represent the Holy Spirit.

The holy spirit of my understanding,. is directionally proportional to the amout of belief you have for something that exists outside of youself.
In other words , the more faith you have ,the more spirited you become.
And its a personal concept, of what it is. ... like nature to , an ashtray. its what gives you hope and strength inside.
Its goodness that works on a different level of energy vibration.
