The Universal man, like Da Vinci, a man who knows and excels in every realm of human knowledge. For the first time in the West, man is not necessarily expected to be this way under direct subordinance tothe Church.

the renaissance period saw the ideals of man torn apart between what was existing and being followed since ages, and was also feeling the need for a change in the existing system. The ideas like democracy started blooming having faced hypocritical rules. he started thinking logically, wanted reasoning.he even started questioning the church - the virtual ruling body then. he was slowly moving towards modern thinking!
