would you ever date someone on the internet and why?

Well its hard to date "on" the internet. But I have met and dated guys I've met from the internet. Its no big deal, just make your first meetings safe. Its a great way to get to know a little about someone before meeting them. And certainly beats meeting people in bars.

I did date someone from the internet and actually married him. Going on five years this March 2007. I found his name thru ICQ thought it was interesting ... msg him. We started chatting... then we spoke on the phone, then we met in person for a coffee. Then he formally asked me out on a date... three months later we were married. Why??? Why not? We got along over IM... and over the phone he was very well spoken and sweet. (spoke over IM and phone for about a month before meeting) Even sweeter in person! He was the first person I ever met over the internet and I must admit I was nervous and scared... but it worked out better than I could have imagined!! For anyone who is going to meet someone off the net I recommend speaking w/ them over the phone first and of course meeting in a public place. I had friends meeting me afterwards at a spec time and all my family and friends knew where I was meeting him and how long I was suppose to be, they even called my cell during our first meeting just to make sure I was safe... cause you never do know.

I met my fiance on Myspace and the reason is because I knew what i was looking for and I actually found someone who was just looking for the same simple things i was, and so i figured why not? what can it harm, so i went on a date with her and been with her ever since

I met my husband on the internet. We met through an icq chat room last year. We've been together for one year and married for 9 months. We couldn't be happier.
