i'm trying to track down a friend who was an exchange student at dripstone highschool in Darwin in the early 1980's Her name was Lynn Adams. Her dad was a teacher, and she came from canada. Lynn is african american and a good friend and i havent seen her for 20 years. he used to live in ponymill drive in Canada somewhere,

I joined all the normal friend finders/high school alumni sites there are, but none were able to help me contact any old friends, as you know, at least one of you must be a paying member to send messages.
I went the long way about it, but I signed up for Reunion.com and looked to see if any of my old gal pals were listed. This site is one of the better ones, as it lists the girl's new married names as well as their madien names. Once I found out their new identities, I did a search on Myspace, and amazingly found most of them.
For those I didn't want to contact, but wanted to know how they were doing, (married, kids, etc.), I found out all I wanted to know as most people don't have their site's set to private and you can view all. Then I sent a message to those I wanted to keep in touch with, and we have since gone out many times.
I don't know if your friend would have a Myspace account, but it never hurts to look.

I have tried both friendster and classmates dont waste your time and money. Those ONLY work if the other person is a member.
You will want to contact a PI in your area, it will cost money, but you will have a better chance at good results.
