Why not? I've seen Shelby, Shelley, Morgan for guys, why not Megan.

I am pretty certain you know that just about any word can be used as a name... take Apple, Leaf, River, Lexus, Porshe, Kal-el, Diva Muffin, Moon Unit, Peaches, Honeyblossom, Satchel, Little Pixie, Audio Science, Puma, and the list goes on.....

However, be careful how you name a child. Megan is generally used for girls and I have yet to hear of a boy with that name, although that doesn't mean he doesn't exist. Weigh the pros and cons.... does the name reflect who your son is to you and who he will grow to be?... Artistic families usually give their children very creative names and many families give their babies names that identify them to their culture.

So again, Megan isn't generally used for boys, but there is no law against it. However, think about how your child may have to adjust to this name and the stigma it could create. Be prepared to help him adjust and build great strength and confidence within himself to withstand any ridicule that may come his way.

NO!, you have to keep in mind everytime you call a Megan they'll expect a girl, when you say Megan people think: GIRL/WOMAN; think about all the extra teasing he'll have to deal with, school will be HELL for a boy named MEGAN.

Kids have enough issues in life growing up - you make think it is clever or cute to cross gender names but they ALWAYS suffer.

Sure, but be prepared for a kid that grows up knowing how to fight and with a huge resentment to his parents.

Peace.
