Does anyone have good Limerick that they wrote themselves? My friend is having a birthday soon (her name is Carol) and she wants her friends to write her limericks for her party. (she is Irish) I have come up with one, do you think it is ok? There was once a woman named Carol. who's body was big as a barrel. They said she was stout. So she thinned herself out. Now Carol wears all new apparel. (she has a great sense of humor by the way)

There once was a man from Venus
Who did not know his genus
So he took a look
In a book
And found out his genus was Xenus.

And don't forget the Xmas carol that fits limmericks:

We 3 kings of orient are
Tried to smoke a rubber cigar
It was loaded
And exploded
The nicotine and the tar
