I'm in a play this week, and since I can't take any time off work, it's going to mean a run of late nights and early mornings, and I just know I'm going to be really tired. Other than caffeine pills and energy drinks, can anyone recommend any ways of boosting my energy levels (safely and legally!!) to get me through what is going to be a really manic week?

That is totally normal!! Your energy should start to return soon. In the first half of the pregnancy you are so exhausted. Then you start to feel full of energy again. It's a relief. Just make sure you are eating healthy. Your body needs so much more now and you need to give it healthy food. Really, the best thing is lots of sleep at night. Go to bed early and take naps on the weekends if possible.

Stop by a health food store or the health supplement department in a department store.

B complex pill and iron will increase your energy levels in a healthy way when your diet isn't as perfect as it should be. (Mine almost never is.) A good Multi-vitamin with Iron would be very helpful also.

You will notice the change rather quickly.

Good Luck.

vitimin b can help. don't stay up later than necessary that way you will get the most rest possible. i find that vitamins help along with a good diet. eat plenty of food. carbohydrates are a natural source of energy and they burn off easily. also ginseng and other natural herbs can help. aromatherapy can help some also. citrus scents can give you a quick boost. i'd stay away from caffeine because it's like using a drug. it gives you a high but when you come off of it you are dragging.

Honey boosts your energy levels and your metabolism as well. It works for me. When I need energy, I put a few tablespoons of honey in my coffee and it works!

Drop any other responsibilities, and put off anything you can until afterward so you can maximise your sleep. (You won't die if the floor isn't vacuumed!!)
Other than that - eat lost of fruit. Bananas give a real boost.
