A journalist is a person who takes every step in the news process, researching, investigating, interviewing, writing, and pre-editing. A content writer is a person who has information brought to them and they write a story about that information. All journalists have been or will be content writers at some point in time.

a journalist is that guy who actually goes to the spot to gets the info & bring out the news part of it ,while a content writer is that person who after getting all the info brought to him/her decides how to present the final thingin print or in tv.
