firstly understand the basics
if an multipied number in left hand side goes to right hand side it divides the what is in right hand side same applies for reverse
if an addition in left hand side goes to right hand side it subtracts what is in right hand side same applies for reverse.
now,
-2(x+1)=8
x+1=(8/-2)
so,
x+1=-4
x=-4-1
x=-5is the answer
to check pu tx=-5 in the equation
