Hello dear!
While studying, I got no TV, no radio! I was the best informed at school! How?
Well, I will tell you why!
Mass media are manipulating information in order for the rulers to continue ruling!
Thus, reading the Iliad or Odyssey of Homer, or the Argonautica, I could answer to any information relative to news better than anyone else! People never change, political systems do!
Our needs are always the same, but promoters are doing their jobs convincing the masses that this product is more interesting - if not necessary than clean air, or safe-healthy water, a good discussion, a friend!

May be you can have a look ( immediately) at today`s ( 27th) Yahoo news item on "Could you be happier? Simple thought exercises" . I found it very interesting. simple and yet new and research packed. perhaps you can start with this suggestion and reference to the websites.
