Black Friday in said in a satirical way. Its after thanksgiving so to note the extremely stressful and hectic nature of the day. Heavy traffic and customer demands added to the long hours make it a difficult day.
Black over here has nothing to do with the color of the skin....but rather the extreme traffic is referred to as black....it won't be any use to call it white...

Black friday? White Friday? I think it should be called stupid shopper friday!... Why on earth do you need to run out the day after one holiday to prepare for the next?... I'd say black friday because they arn't going to be in the red for that day... When was the last time you looked at your bank account? Least mine does this.. purchases are shown in red and deposits are made in black...so maybe that is it?....

It's the biggest shopping day of the year, and it's an opportunity for companies to get out of the "red", and into the "black". (financially speaking)

So, that's why it's Black Friday.

Black for profit.
Red for debt.

this is the big department stores and all other stores final chance of the year to get their retail sales in the positive (black) and out of the negative (red) Its a big money day for retailers but in the end... the consumer always ends up in the red!!
