Depends on what kind of dance you mean.

If it's ballroom or social dance, wear high-heeled shoes (they don't have to be very high, as long as you're comfortable in them). The shoes should be secure, meaning that they should have ankle straps and fit well, enabling you to move in them easily. No slip-ons or mules, and certainly no flip flops.

If it's hip hop, then obviously sneakers are best. I think gym shoes or tennis shoes are better than running shoes as they give you more stability.

If you just mean dancing in clubs/discos, anything goes as long as your toes are secure from being stomped on!

I have a size 7 DANCING SHOES, made by Phillipe Razxeaky, an Hungarian who now lives in Salt Lake City with his mum.

They are patent bohemian leather with a beautiful tasselled front and side lacing.

Cost. $1200. Fairly cheap for his work.

Sneakers, cause thats pretty much all i own (or would bother wearing. Most of those other shoes like high heels can give you serious problems later on in life. So yeah, i will keep dancing.

I do hip-hop dancing and there are special shoes for that. I use them and they give good support and they look awesome to. I dont know if there is a special name for them but I just call them "hip-hop shoes". If you go into a dance store I'm sure they would know what you mean by hip-hop shoes. GOOD LUCK!

It doesn't really matter what kind of shoes I have on, once I start dancing, I usually end up in my stocking feet!

I wear sneakers or loafers. Sometimes I will wear comfortable sandals in the summer, but it's rare.
