No. We need it though but we do not store it in our bodies very well so a regular top up is needed. Fat stomachs come from overeating and not enough exercise. It is as simple as that. Try dynamic tensions and cut out sweet and fatty foods for a month. Dynamic tension is when you squeeze your bum cheeks together, or force your stomach out. Look it up on the net. You need no equipment, it is free, and it can be done any and all the time if you want. You can do every muscle in your body. I can guarantee if you follow this advice you will see amazing results in less than a month. You must do it every day though for at least twenty minutes three times a day. Do it while you watch TV even. The more you do it the harder your muscles will become and your whole body will tighten up. Promise.

THIS IS MY PROOF!!!!!!RealAge Tip of the DAY for November 28, 2006
•Undo Belly Bulge with Vitamin C

Haven't seen your waistline in a few years? Eat more oranges.

Here's why. Apple-shaped people (who carry extra pounds around their middles) are at higher risk of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. All of these drain the body's stores of vitamin C. Why? This antioxidant helps fight the cellular damage that comes with these problems. So help your body help you by packing in more oranges, papayas, bell peppers, and other C-rich fruits and veggies. It's the new way to eat skinny.
Now researchers have discovered that hourglass-shaped people have higher blood levels of vitamin C than apple-shaped people. They aren't sure why, but they're investigating some likely theories. One is that men and women who have a low waist-to-hip ratio may eat lots of vitamin C-rich fruits and veggies and take vitamins. A second possibility is that those shaped like an hourglass are healthier and not as likely as their apple-shaped peers to be obese or have ailments like heart disease and diabetes that "rust" tissues and gobble up vitamin C.

Megadosing on vitamin C won't make you slim, but eating a low-fat, high fiber diet that includes lots of C-rich produce may not only help protect your body from excessive cell damage, but also give you a good shot at getting -- and keeping -- a svelte figure.

In response to Nicky's answer I have to observe that eating fruits has many other benefits and contributions to a weight losing regimen. I have read all kinds of books on vitamins and studied vitamin C, and, while it has many wonderful benefits, no where have I seen any claim that it will help reduce or remove belly fat, or any other kind of fat. The South Beach Diet claims, with some credibility, to help reduce abdominal fat.

Short of a tummy tuck there really is nothing to do sorry. Your muscles and skin stretched the muscle will mostly go back but the skin nvr will. If it has been less than a year since babies birth give it some time as it takes awhile for your body to recuperate. Keep exercising.
