Yeah me and my b/f used to do it all the time when we first met lol although you will have to book a full day
There is Holiday express on Marton Road Middlesbrough its £55 per night
Travel Lodge on tees barrage Stockton its £49 per night
The Blue Bell Hotel on Ladgate Lane Middlesbrough its £45 per night Monday to Saturday and £35 Sundays
The Highfield Hotel Marton Road Middlesbrough £60 per night
Or There is a cheap Basic one Called Formula 1 Portrack Lane Stockton which is around £22 per night and when i say its basic i mean its very basic

You may have to book it for the full day though as they are reluctant to be labled as a knocking shop ! the best bet is to try the Highfield ,
Say you need to book a room for a important interview / meeting etc !!!!!!!!!!!!!
