Well, setting aside that fact that I don't actually think there is such a term in current use, no.
I think a consumerist society requires a degree of cunning to survive the rapacious demands of our creditors, other consumers and the stresses of constant demand and disillusionment.
Like any other Darwinian model, the witless just ain't going to make it!
