It's happened with two of my best girl friends. They came to me and said that they were in love with me. I told both of them that I was flattered but I pointed out one more time that nothing would happen between us because I'm gay. I'm still friends with them.
Best friends often connect on a higher level and that can lead towards confusing feelings for each other... all you can do is be flattered that they crush on you and remember that best friends will be closer and the feelings are natural.
If it was a stranger be afraid, be very afraid!

Why would you think lowly of someone who is communicating their feelings to you.
Her feelings are hers and not yours so you would also have the right at that time to communicate your feelings to her and hopefully you would do that with kindness and understanding.
She is putting herself on the line by coming to you don't forget that she is the one at risk of loss not you.
