He is not a child. There was a long article in Yahoo about children nowadays outgrowing their age. 10 year olds already have relationship!! By that standard, your 17 boy is already an old man. Both in love and happy . OK keep it that way. Q&A members are happy for both of you.

This is an age difference of only three years, so I really wouldn't worry that much about it if I were you. You have already answer your question by stating you're "Both in love...and both happy". The important thing is how the two of you feel about each other, it really shouldn't matter what anyone else might have to say.

Depends on the laws in your state. In some, like California the difference is okay evn though he is 17 beause it falls within the 3 year limit. In other states it is unlawful to engage in relatins with ANYONE under 18 if yo are over 18, regardless of the age difference (even if it's only 1 day). Best way to find out is to check the age statues in the state you live in...although personally ALL those age limits should be lowered to 13 for EVERYTHING, jobs, marriage, driving....ALL of it...

Good lord , girl! you know this is illegal in all states but Iowa. you could go to J-A-I-L.

He is in lust and you are going along for the ride. Oops I made a funny!!! What I'm trying to say is this, he is a boy and you are a woman. You may be construed as taking advantage of his naivety and that can be bad for the both of you. He will be legal in a few months .. cool it until then.

Closer to statutory rape and if his parents wish to press charges, they will stick.

I would cool it until he is 18, then, no legal beef that way
