I am thinking that with most things--everyone reacts differently. Mine took probably two years, if I remember correctly. You might have a period and no more for two--three months, then another period and no more for 6 months. The hormonal imbalance can also vary. Some breeze right through it and others--it can be a real problem. (emotional ups and downs and hot flashes) Good luck.

1: It's the end of a woman's period. Like, when all her eggs run out. 2: That varies depending on the woman, but she may experience symptoms from her late forties until her mid fifties. 3: Once again, depends on the woman. Some women experience hot and cold flushes during the night, hormonal imbalances, hair growing in not-so-womanly places, mood swings, etc. These are all symptoms leading up to the menopause, which actually only lasts for one day. After that, the woman is unable to have children (but the way how technology is these days, some women have been able to get preggo even after the menopause, which isn't very good because it means they're too old and may cause complications for themselves and/or the baby). 4: Just good ol' TLC. Chocolate and extra sheets for when the night-sweats get particularly messy :)
