Hey, getting an MRI is appropriate...then again the doctor may have to be able to read it correctly. I did have an MRI, one doctor said that I needed surgery, another told me that I need not. So I decided to be conservative and did physiotherapy, wore a brace for sports and it took me almost a year to recover fully. Healing takes time...give it the time that it needs...and it will! God bless U.

A year ago I had Rheumatoid Arthritis, so severe, that my knees could not lift my own weight without help.

The Dr. prescribed Hydrocodone pain killers but it was only as good as Excedrin and Ibuprofen (which got rid of the swelling)

He also recommended one of the steel hinged knee supports, it was big and black, not elastic that just squeezes all of the tissue. The steel hinges take your weight off the knee joint.

I couldn't believe it, in one weekend the pain was gone. But I still continued to wear it as needed till the knees were recovered and perfect. It wraps around the knee area of your leg and velcros below the knee and above the knee for support, so your weight is off the knee.

I got mine at a Pharmacy that specializes in medical equipment and it cost $59.00.
GET ONE NOW, IT SHOULD HELP. GOOD LUCK.

Dude. They are brilliant with knees these days. More than likely you will have keyhole surgery if anything and unless you have totally wrecked your knee they will fix it for you. Just look at footballers. They come back don't they? I broke my neck when I was in my twenties and have headed loads of balls since. I also do head stands. Trust the doc dude and don't worry so much. Good luck.

I had a bad knee for 2 months.
I was on medication,I had physio, and massage.
I was waiting to go to the hospital and decided to try a "support".
The next morning my knee was fine. Both the doctor and the physio cannot explain what happened.

Try buying a "support" or "knee stabilizer"-you can get them on the net.
