This is something totally left to your attitude!
Cos to become a doc you need to have the desire, the urge, the craving! So much of fire is needed to cross the hectic course and also to continue studyin after graduating!
On the other hand, computer science is relatively easier to learn. And the work may or may not be hectic, depending on your job profile. But of course, you will have to put in hard work here too if you want to get placed in a good company. But the plus is that even if you are an average student, you can get some job to start with atleast!
So, seeing that you have no personal desire towards the medical profession, i suggest that you take up computer science. The future is surely DAMN GOOD (computers are here to rule!) and it is less demanding than the profession of a doctor.
So for your nature, I feel Comp Sci is better!

I think that the reason that some books have been printed that would not have seen the light of day in previous years is because the reading public has become less well educated. It is like the film industry. Once, many films, (not all) had a proper story with a beginning and end with real people involved. Now so very many 'blockbusters' on film or paper are rubbish. Mostly based on 'revenge' or thievery and full of car chases and wholesale murders and having characters who are either nasty or made of cardboard. Printing houses print what will sell, and blood and snot seems to sell on paper or celluloid. I don't think that computers as such choke off creativity, really they should help when it is so much easier to revise what you have written. As to a good book I like just about anything written by Terry Pratchett. He has a sharp insight into human beings and how they work despite being set in Discworld,a fantasy world. If you haven't read one, do.

Both have very good scope. It all depends on your inclination. If you like biology & chemistry, you can aim to become a doctor. If you like computers and maths, you can take up computer science.
Don't take up a course which others ask you to. Take up a course which you like. If you like economics then you can even take up a CA course.
It doesn't matter which course you take. What really matters is how well you perform in that. So approach this issue with an open mind. Find out your real interests and select a course that suits them.

Hi!! If you plan to go abroad i.e. America or UK then I would recommend Doctor, because they make excellent pay but you have to give many hours and it is very difficult with a family. Engineers on the other hand make good money not as much as doctors, but they have much more resonable hours. Trust me on this I know because my husband is a Doctor and Dad is an Engineer :) In the end it's your decision so pick which you have more passion for. I'm in law school, and thats also a nice option :) Take Care and Good Luck!!

hello dear,
first of all what is important to choose from these is that what are your interests bcoz u can not perform well if u not have interest in that subject ,
now regarding scope in these fields no doubt doctor has better scope due to less number of doctors coming out from institutes while lots of computer professionals are coming so the thing which is short in supply is more in demand ,
this is what I think,
hope u can take these views into consideration while selecting one of them,
cheers !

Don't waste your time in computer science. All the people from India have been majoring in it. Ever get somebody on a help line that isn't from India?
If your going to doctor in something. Medicine pays the best hands down.
Follow your dreams & follow your heart. Dreams can come true.
