As far as I know, Sea has no colour.. it's transparent..the ocean or sea reflects the color of the sky, but even on cloudless days the color of the ocean is not a consistent blue. Phytoplankton, microscopic plant life that floats freely in the lighted surface waters, may alter the color of the water. When a great number of organisms are concentrated in an area, the plankton or drifting organisms that inhabit the water column of oceans, seas, and bodies of fresh water changes the color of the ocean surface.

It depends on where you go. In the Pacific, out to sea (more than 12-20 miles) it is deep Blue. In the Caribbean, it is usually emerald green. In Hawaii it is light blue (close to land, but deep blue further out)

It has four major colurs, gray, blue, clear and sometime a dark gray-green. According to Homer, the sea's color is "wine dark" but he was supposed to have been blind.
