Do you mean the Vampires and the Zombies (Church-goers) who go to MASS on a Sunday Morning to DRINK THE BLOOD & EAT THE FLESH of their saviour so as to gain ETERNAL LIFE?
Yes, I beleve that people who go to Church & Religious people in general are secret sadists!

They were born before Baby Jesus, they all live within our imagination, like porn. A parasite meander in our minds from long, long past and history.
Cultures of the ancients, the Pagans, the Muslims, the Crusaders and no less the modern civilisation with the new acceptance of the abortionists, same sex marriages, divorces, child porn etc.
You see they all come real and claim a war, yes they are the secret sadists.

Vampires want to increase the ardreniline levels in your blood nsupply to allow for a greater fix in draining you.
Zombies have no instinctual reason to scare us as that is incidental byproduct of their nature ( see the way they get abused and ignored in later zombie flicks like land of the dead or day of the dead)
Ghosts survive as empathic beings and require intense emotional extremes to empower themselves and their abilities to interfere with the world, as such attempt to evoke any number of passions, but given their state fear is the easiest one to convey.
sadism is a personality trait and will vary from individual dont judge them all!
