Thomas Jefferson concluded his Gettysburg Address: "of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from this earth." But hasn't it already perished? Hasn't it deteriorated to ..."of the party, by the party and for the party"? And lobbyist reform our congressmen all agree is needed....well, that's simple, just outlaw lobbyists. Let them begin to work for the people, not for the special interests the lobbyists advocate. But do you think they'll give up all the perks the lobbyists supply? Of course not. "of the people by the people and for the people already has perished from this eartyh.

True democracy has perishished, and here T. Jefferson has put on A. Lincoln coat!

Bravo! But it was Abe Lincoln that wrote the Gettysburg address. A republican for those who don't realize that.
This is the very reason I will only vote for Moderate Candidates from now on. The far left and the far right have hijacked both parties yet they merely represent 15% of the U.S. populous.

Jefferson was long dead before Linclon gave the address at Gettysburg. But freedom is a dying thing under the current adminstration, and ii cant say that the democrats will revive it

had genuine democracy ever existed in the history of mankind????tracing back the time of our Jesus Christ, it never did exist...so, it did not really perish because it never really came into being..
