Don't feel bad about it. I too have had a terrible habit for longer than you. We just have to pray and try to get close to God. Are you seeking God and some answers from Him? He is the only source of help for our suitations. Just gradually start to pray and ask God to help you with it. I am sure that He hears your pleas, and is willing to help you.

How do you stop... what?
What I do understand is that you're backsliding with your religion and you're depressed. I have a link for you, good luck.

What is depression?
Depression is a mood disorder that causes you to feel sad or hopeless for an extended period of time. More than just a bout of "the blues" or temporary feelings of grief or low energy, depression can have a significant impact on your enjoyment of life, your work, your health, and the people you care about

If this habit is an addiction, then you need to get help.

There are lots of organizations to help you with whatever it is.

Look up your habit online, and find an organization that pertains. They should have support groups in your area.

Pray. Go to church. Talk to a priest, rabbi, pastor or other cleric. Best wishes and God bless!
