i believe women have been the dominant sex for hundreds of years - now they are just 'out of the closet' about it.

I believe there is definitely some sort of confrontation if not out and out warfare going on between the genders in the straight segment of our society. This has been going on for a long long time, at least since the Victorian era but has only surfaced and become freely expressed and visible since the women's rights movement of the '60s. Since that time women have come to understand that they are fully independent of men if they choose to be. Yes even in the sexual arena if they choose. Yes even in the reproductive arena if they choose. (What do you think sperm banks were created for? OK as of just now they're still dependent on male sperm but someone somewhere is working on that problem too. They've solved it in some animals like sheep haven't they?)
Most women don't like to admit this conflict exists. The enlightened and honest ones will at least admit to the possibility. The sexes were made to work together. But like so much else in the contemporary world things fall apart. Just look at the divorce rate in the U.S. now.
There is no clear winner in this conflict as yet. Will there ever be? Can there ever be? Likely not unless the whole society turns gay and lesbian. Even then there will be no winner. Just possibly a truce.
Great question. Thanks for asking it.

Women have always been the dominant sex, but not for the reasons you speak of.
You are asking a heterosexual question, or at least one with a heterosexual tone in the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered forum. In a gay man's world, a woman is not going to be the dominant sex. In a gay woman's world, woman are the ONLY sex. So your question should have been directed to bisexuals and transgenders, who may have sexual relationships with the opposite gender than themselves. Was that your intention?
I rest my case.

Women have been dominated by men for centuries, since the dawn of time. Now that we are FINALLY receiving the education we deserve, we have our own money, and we are not dependent on men for basic survival, we can finally have a little fun with our own money. If that consists of buying a guy a drink, or taking you for a ride in our new car, so be it. We are strong, independent, intelligent people, and you can't hold us down any longer!

I think no, women are not dominant in sex.
They just became more confident about opening their legs and not fearing that people will start blaming or critising them.
About your noticing that "women jump on men", I would comment that first of all men are happy that women behave like that. Women would do whatever she wants in her bedroom, and no necessity to be publicly known about her behaviour.
Men are happy because they are happy to have such a girl that is so brave, sexy, beutiful and obviously If you stare at her, she is better than your girlfriend. You are happy for that U have better woman than your naighbour, that's why you allow to jump on yourself and be noticed!!!

Both genders have their field(s) of dominance but men men, at this point in time, still basically rule the roost.
Both genders need each other as day needs night, black needs white, etc. The balance must be kept but the genders must learn to be equal and treat each other that way.
That day is a LOOOONG way off.

i believe that yes, wemon are the power players in straight sex. (accept rape) Wemon can always choose not to do anything and men will be waiting for some. Men can obviously choose also, but more times than not would rather have sex.
Remember, The submissive is ALWAYS in control.

I can't understand why, in this day and age, it really matters what sex a person is.There are strong women and weak women and there are strong men and weak men.So, what does it matter?I think people should be who they are in society in spite of their gender and not based solely on their gender.

Maybe you are meeting the wrong type of men. I know the type you are talking about and I stay away from them. I respect myself too much to just "give it up". I think it all goes in how you present yourself to the guy, if you give him the vibe, he's gonna go for it. I also know that guys will test to see just how far they can go, it's up to you to set boundaries. Just keep your standards up, respect yourself and demand respect from men as well. Cheers =)

I can't see it.
Testosterone kicks butt on estrogen as far as domination.
Games don't make a relationship.
Yes, women control men in sexual relationships, they can easily exploit men, but they will give it all up in a relationship.
They love us.
