Paper card or e-card?

Question

I am planning to send some message of greetings for new year to my family, freinds and people in business relationship.
Is it really impolite or less sincereness to send by e-card instead of paper card?

I think it's ok to send e-cards for certain things and to certain people....but it is always nicer to send a real card....It isn't just about the card it's also about the effort and thought put into it.....send real cards....save the e-card as an extra surprise for a close friend, gf, wife, mother etc. Good luck

That is a really good point, about e-cards being better for the environment! That said, I think that the person to whom you are sending the card can dictate the type. For example, if I sent my grandfather an e-card, he wouldn't take the time to figure out how to receive it... Many people still do not use email much, as hard as that is for most of us to believe! Even my mother wouldn't want to have to click on a link, sign in, blah, blah.... Also, I feel like someone whom I really care about, close friends and family, deserve the time and effort that a paper card through the mail requires. But many of my friends would be just as happy with an e-card or even an email, just something to say, "I was thinking about you."

i prefer paper card than e-card. it gives u the opportunity to make it more personal. especially if you can hand made it. but if not, still paper card is better than e-card. send e-card to friends and family aside from the gifts you are giving them. but to collegues, paper card is the best!

e-cards r ok with friends and family b'coz they already know the kind of person u are, but in professional relationship e-card will not make the kind of impact u r looking at to strengthen ur professional relationship
