Hi Pretthi,

Pick a good radio show, NPR (National Public Radio) would be an excellent choice as the speakers always use perfect English and enunciation. Would not recommend TV as the video is too distracting and you will end up watching the show and forget about your purpose. Also, you do not always hear good English on most of the shows.

Use a recording device, and record the NPR radio show. Then play back the phrases one at a time, and stop and you repeat back what you just heard. You could also record your voice so you can make comparisons as to how your English is sounding. Just listening to the radio show will embed in your mind and you will start to speak like what you hear.

I would highly recommend NPR as you can listen while driving. It is very educational and relaxing plus you will learn to speak perfect English.

The above method is used by those doing undercover covert operations in order to learn the slang and dialect of a target group they intend to infiltrate.

Good question, and good luck,

Darryl S.

Speaking english is not really huge task .Speak with your friends. You will make some errors at begining but never mind strat with a limited set of words & slowly increse your span as writing needs more vocablury don't try to be complicated with centence formations at first.
Some people say to speak in english you need to think in english which is second step & usually occurs naturally by practice.
One more thing, be clear with your view what you are trying to express. In some commmunities it's special requirement that you should speak british english & if you are going for that then some television english may spoil your language hence be cautious about what are you listning.

There is no such thing as easy English. It is made up of so many other languages that the "rules" our teachers gave us are so often broken, they are not really rules at all. Try to watch television and listen to others speak. Try to speak it out loud. People may understand you at first, they will eventually. Good luck.
