Insufficient information to answer...is it 10% w:w, or 10% w:v?
If 10% w:w then it's 10 g of benzoic acid per 100 gms of solvent
if 10% w:v then its 10g of benzoic acid per 100 cm3 of solution

Most %s are w:v so if it is, then that means that the solution is 100 g benzoic acid per dm3...since FWt of benzoic acid is 122g, then the solution is 100/122 mol per dm3 (sorry don't have calculator handy!)

You can use the equation: M1V1 + M2V2 = M3V3 Where M is concentration; V is volume First, convert cm^3 to dm^3 (25.00 cm^3)(1 dm/10 cm)^3= 0.02500 dm^3 Substituting values: (12.0)(0.02500) + (0.500)(2.00) = M3 (0.02500 + 2.00) M3 = 0.642 mole/dm^3 (= 0.642 M)
