It depends on the individual woman. There is no one set age, where it would be too dangerous, although I know they won't usually offer IVF to women in their 60's. Women are having babies in their 40's and even early 50's, some have complications, some don't. But if a woman is in good health, age shouldn't come into it. HTH : )

I don't know what an average woman means. It's not a certain age but the chances to have a child with problems increases with the age.

Personally I feel 42 & up is risky..although all ages run a risk,once a woman is in her 40's more biological factors come into play..

Either after 40 or that "young age"-I've heard about it, she was about 11 or 12, he was 70. -not good.

if your in good health i would think you could all the way up to about 50. im almost 45 and i think i could have a take care of a baby.
