with this verse from a poem-

"the beautiful simplicity of love's theory is clear,
yesterday will soon return, and tomorrow is already here.
I shall not fear to take my last earthbound breath-
for there is no life-
until you love-
and then there is no death"

I wrote this poem... it is the last verse to it

im sorry if it confuses you, maybe i should have added the beginning to the poem as well as the final verse. it is a poem about love (not neccessarily romantic) being able to defy time and send your life into a whirlwind of feelings, and once you learn how to love, you as a person will never die because you have shown people how to love and it will be passed on through the ages.

"I dont know how, or why or when,
but since you and i became "us"-
i know our now, was also then.

how often have we felt this need?
the present is just a memory,
we are moving at a new speed...

And the beautiful simplicity of love's theory is clear,
yesterday will soon return, and tomorrow is already here.
I shall not fear to take my last earthbound breath-
for there is no life-
until you love-
and then there is no death"

confusing: Love's theory, how can y'day love to return - today is a fresh day y'day is over. Tomorrow love we do not know if that is true. Fear will not take u anywhere I did not understand earthbound breath for life - can u please explain finally u came to tell that there is no death without if u love. But then why people are dying leaving their beloved ones. do u mean to say even the dead will live in ur hearts. what is the thing u want to explain. just few English words.

Rockin poem, clever astute. But having been infatuated many times and blown it eventually you can sure feel like death....specially with that supermodel. I guess if you reproduce out of love there is no death but I never got round to that..thus...
as the light sputters flickers and is still in your eyes
i take short pause , philosophise
how come when tomorow precluded today
I feel like death warmed up today?

Wow,

Well whoever wrote that certainly had a few things figured out. He/she seems to have conquered fear of death and accepted their place in time. If that's not hitting the nail on the head I don't know what is.

There is depth in your verse ... congrats!! Do write more such stuff.

True love beats all logic ...... even the unfailing logic of life and death.

Yet love too has a life ...... it does fade with time and distance, no matter howsoever romanticised.

Is the writer of this rather pleasing verse saying that when you are truly in love there is no time but 'now'? It is deeply expressive, anyway.

PS Between writing and submitting my comment you have admitted that you wrote the verse. You clearly have talent. Please let us see the rest of the poem?

it is just one viewpoint.
i am assuming this is romantic love, not love in general.
love's theory = no life until love, no death after.

no. i don't agree. "love lift us up where we belong" would never negate death or the end of love.
love is hope, love is return. yes and no.
love is in the moment? yes, but these lines are not saying that.

if you are going to say that love only exists in the moment, then you are saying that when it is gone (death) then it ceases to be love. it is something else.
