when are people going to learn about wwe, Vince doesn't care if a wrestler can wrestle or not, all Vince is interested in is will people pay to come to the arena and watch the show, shout for who they like and buy the t-shirt. At the end of the day its all about the money, why do you think they keep bring back people like Hogan who's passed his best or they brought back DX cos they will make a lot of money for Vince.for example why do you think that both Lita and Trish have left in the last month or so, i tell what i think. i heard that the wwe is planning to bring in loads of model-type divas who cant wrestle just so that they can do T&A style matches, and why would wwe do that, so that they can get some sad males to come along, so stop ur moaning about this wrestler being rubbish or that wresler being overlooked, this is not a true sport, its just entertainment and vince rules. its not about the Game, its all about the money

I totally agree with u bro. I mean, U are right, most of the wrestlers are just paper champions. They have no technique at all. And its so damn irritating, to hear all the cena fans out there. He is just a publicity stunt, he has no talent, he doesnt even know the true art of wrestling. Bret, Owen, Kurt Angle, Benoit, Jericho, now these people are real wrestlers. I never really liked the Rock also, as he just looked like all show, and no skill. I mean, give me a break, the FU by cena, how big a move is that?? lol, other wrestlers just flip the other guy over their heads as a normal move. ANd for cena its so big. LOL, no wait LMAO.
I really miss the old days of wrestling, I know it was also planned, but it invovled technique and it looked real. Now, they really suck at making it look real.
Yeah yeah, u cena fans, give me a low rating, like i care. I know the truth hurts. aawwww poor babies!

Cena can wrestle, I always thought. He looked great coming in against Jericho and Angle (but then again, these are guys who can make anyone they touch look like a million bucks) but for his gimmick, he really doesn't have to. It was the same thing with Steve Austin. It would be incongruous to expect a "beer drinkin foul mouthed SOB" to go out and put on a wrestling clinic. That said, however, if I see Cena do his bastardized blue thunder bomb one more time...
My biggest concern with the list provided earlier was Bret Hart. Yes, he revolutionized the business in a sense, by allowing the door to be opened for smaller, more technical minded wrestlers in WWE (then WWF). Yes, he was given the ball and ran with it as best he could and became one of the biggest names in the industry in doing so. But my problem with Bret from a workrate perspective is that he never really evolved his moveset in any significant way since 1991 or earlier. The reason he basically gets a free pass in this instance it seems is because his moveset was more diverse than that of a Hogan (or to use a modern day equivalent, Cena or Batista) to begin with. But ultimately, that's the thing stopping me from buying the Bret Hart DVD set. If you've seen one, you've seen them all.
Fans of Cena or Batista--to specifically use the example you gave--can't prove you wrong because at the end of the day, it's simply a subjective question with nothing more than subjective answers. Based solely on personal preference, you'll never get a workrate freak to accept Batista or Cena, just like you'll never get a "WWE mark" to accept someone like Matt Sydal, Austin Aries or AJ Styles.

I agree with you, nobody uses the basics, they have to do power moves or moves that will get a pop out of people. You know wrestlers that have strong points in endurance, speed, submission, power, technique, and charisma. People who are real championship material are:
Benoit
Jericho
Bret
Owen
Flair
Angle
Mr. Perfect
Eddie Guerrero
