i am in the sixth grade and need a project that will get me in the science fair

An easy, but unique, project for a science fair entry is to test different types of materials for fire resistance. My daughter used wool, cotton, satin, silk, rayon, nylon, and polyester. All that is really needed for the experiment is the different materials and a candle with a small flame. Make sure that you make your science board really neat and legible and clearly state your hypothesis and your observations. Then, write a conclusion about what you learned from your experiment and whether or not your experiment proved your hypothesis. Good luck!
