first of all, you need a license for the boat, and it's no big deal, you ll pay some fees, i don't know how much exactly, but it is supposed to be not expensive, there is also the running cost of piering too. and if the boat of that kind that cruises outside the national borders, then it will involve authorisation from border patrol forces and National Security.

There is a boat yard in Ein Sokhna, not sure about Ras Sidr. The boat yard in sokhna is 5kms to the south of Ramada hotel.
