I am 29 weeks pregnant.. For the past couple of weeks, my baby has been like a gymnast inside, especially early in the mornings and late at night.. However, for the past couple of days, he's really slowed down.. He's still moving--just not as often, or as hard.. When I feel my belly, I can tell that he has moved positions, so I think this may have something to do with it.. I know all about the text book answers--10 movements in 2 hrs, drink something cold and lie down, etc.. he is moving--it's just that until 2 days ago, i could count 10 movements in 5 minutes, now it's probably closer to 1 hour...I just would like to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

As the baby gets bigger the movements change. He doesn't have room to be a gymnast any longer.

One of my babies barely ever moved. It was scary. You know how they say you should contact the doctor if you don't feel movement after 24 hours or so? I'd just get to about the time, and he'd faintly move. It turned out he was in a limiting position (which was discovered when he was born at 35 weeks). Even with my "active" baby - the movements were only a few per day and certainly nowhere near ten in two hours or ten in five minutes!!

Anyway, sure - what you have is normal; but, of course, it never hurts to ask a doctor this type of question.

count type the kicks. you are going to be getting a minimum of 10 on a daily basis. I used to discover if I lay flat, and had a poke at my abdomen, toddler might often poke back. It isnt unusual for the movements to chop back. there is way less area in there and toddler would kicking in direction of the back so which you will possibly not experience it as prominently than on the front. I used to discover if I went into the maternity ward if i replaced into frightened, the positioned paddles on your tummy to reveal screen babys heartbeat and provide you a button to press once you felt flow - toddler might often do acrobatics in this. i'm beneficial its all superb, do not take a seat and be frightened regardless of the undeniable fact that - call your midwife or pass in and basically be beneficial.
