Certainly yes! The sound of burping is caused by the vibration of the esophageal sphincter as the gas passes through it so whatever is the cause of the muteness it is far related to the esophagus. It is just like asking if a mute breathed would they make a sound?☺

I doubt it because their vocal cords are undeveloped and burping is the result of our vocal cords vibrating when air comes rushing up from the stomach, thus creating a sound. It's better to ask a mute!!

We can hear the sound - being mute doesnot mean he cannot make any sounds - Only his vocal cords are not in a position to vibrate in a rhythm which we call "talking" :)

yes - mutes can make sounds(usually), just not coherent
