My Friend has luck meeting guys in myspace.com, its been 5 years since I've dated someone, so I gave it a shot. I feel so outdated comparing the gay people there, I've really forgotten the "fashion drive" I had when younger. What are the must have's for a casual-fashionable-gay-look? I dress with levis and American Exchange pants with a one color t-shirts or a button up simple color/pattern shirts; Sad. I live in a rural area so everyone imitates everyone, so you see clones everywhere, thats what I avoid, hence my fashion mishap. Oh yeah any cool Accessories?? Gotta pimp this ***** out.

Tami & Mommyblue; yes yr right but once in a while I would like to be noticed/standout. I want to be like under all this clothes, there's a great guy underneath. Which I am by the way. My friends always say "You gotta set the trap first..."

Both camps are correct in their own right, but a good way to go about is to think hard about the clothes you already like, and then just update them. For example, back when I was dating, I was hardly cutting edge of fashion when all I really cared to wear were sweaters, T-shirts, and khaki trousers. However, after talking to my friends I updated my wardrobe with different sweater cuts that fit my figure better, a new style of neck, comfortable polo shirts that fit like T-Shirts, and new styles of khaki trousers like cargos and the like.

So rather than having an attitude that you have to change, think in terms of 'updating.' After all, the clothes only highlight your personality on the first impressions. After that, it's all down to your quality of character. There are a TON of well dressed jerks in the world of dating after all.

If you live in a rural area, as I once did too, you can't go wrong with JCPenney, Old Navy, and Sears. They are standbys that while they don't always have their fingers on the pulse of high fashion, you can still leave your house and not look like an idiot. If you do go to those stores, don't hesitate to ask the workers outright what clothes would look best on you. They won't lie because they know if they send you out looking like a berk, it will only make their store look bad and you will never come back (rightfully so).

Why do you feel that you have to dress a certain way or act a certain way to fit the gay stereotype? You are special, and I like you just the way you are.

Honestly i would dress how you feel comfortable, because if a person cannot take you as you are then they probly are not the right person for you

After you decide what to wear, remember to accessorize: sparkling eyes, raising eyebrows and a 'come hither ' aura.
