So they put me on academic probation this semester because of the bookstore and Amazon.com screwing me out of my books last semester and they said I needed to have a 2.0 GPA if I wanted to stay in school. My problem is, I have classes 4 days out of the week and my mom has been weak/sick from chemotherapy treatment and I have been taking care of her. So I haven't had time for anything, let alone studying.

I'm almost certain of flunking my math, barely passing my history with a D and possibly a B and C in my other two classes.

I'm pretty certain I'm going to be withdrawn. Is there a possibility of them letting me go back there to school even if they withdraw me because it is really the only school in my area I can go to?

They should, since a community college with accept anyone, no matter your gpa. If it were earlier I would say that you should have withdrawn from the classes, but I do believe its to late for that. I would talk to the school and tell them your dilemma and your concerns. They will be able to tell you what you need to know and they might even be able to make you a deal and allow you to come back.

I honestly believe that you need to withdraw from school now. Go speak with your academic advisor. Make an appointment. Discuss your situation.

Speak to her about re-enrolling in the fall, and if that would be possible, or if they need you to wait longer. Some schools require that you wait a certain amount of time before re-enrolling. So talk about that with her.

Your mom is very ill. You have a valid reason. You need time to get your life in order before you come back.

Don't focus on the books and last term when you speak with your advisor. If she brings it up, tell her that you did better this semester, until your mom got sick. Focus on your immediate need.

And good luck. I hope things turn out well for you, and your mom.
