if its fresh intallation it sounds like a firewall/antivirus issue, you may need to set your antivirus software to give limewire permission to access the network. if it is an old installation and you have been downloading stuff, you may have got some bug or worm or the installation is corrupted, uninstall then re-install limewire, hope this helps

I've had that problem for a while you click on something it just says connecting for ages then nothing happens does it, i even tried installing it again but no joy.

i would not use lime wire so stop using it. too many people can search through your files on your own computer. not safe.

get rid of it , that file sharing monster is nothing but a way to share viruses, it made my new Pentium slower than an 8086.

Why don't you just buy the CD or DVD?
Failing that, use utorrent instead, its much safer!

it maybe the firewall. turn it off then you should be able to download music etc.
