being present? My Fiance and I are both deployed to Afgan. and we would like to get married while we are here, but cant go home to get issued a marriage license.

You can probably get the Chaplain to marry you while you are over there and then do it again when you get home with the marriage licence. Unless you are doing it for other reason than just being husband and wife (meaning, tax breaks, pay raises etc....). The point is, the marriage will be recognized by God if you are married by a MAN OF GOD....but I'm pretty sure that if it's the state you are worried about, you would have to wait to get home to get that done legally.

But good luck to you and your fiance over there and COME HOME SAFE!!!

My suggestion would be that you speak to your military chaplain or commanding officer for the correct information
