The first eternity rings were custom made and could not be sized. They were so thick and heavy that you could never change ring size or else your ring would no longer fit! They're still impossible to size, but now they are mass produced in generic sizes. They come in all price points and are even made from synthetic stones and lesser metals. The first eternity rings were a serious commitment and were really only given as anniversary gifts. That's no longer true. Now you can buy cheap rings for any occasion and even wear five of them stacked on each finger. It means what you make it mean.

For example; my husband gave me an eternity ring after our first child was born, which was just over a year after we were married.

Eternity ring is a symbol of eternal love. You dont have to be married as some people might suggest. As you dont have to be married to someone to love them forever. All jewelley stockists sell them they normally are a band of stones or a half band of stones (this is a half eternity ring) my partner just said in case your not sure youll love them eternally lol
