You've learned a valuable lesson grasshopper. Now you know. Meet them, get to know them very well, once you know each other well enough to make a life long committment to the relationship, THEN HAVE SEX!!!!!!!

Yes. I am glad you took responsibility. And there is the rub. . . IF you wait to have sex until after you get to know a person, then you may be able to screen out the ones like this. However, since guys are generally horn-dogs and a little flattery and flirting will go right to their small brain. . . good luck. Oh, and by the way, one instance does not a pattern make.

NO,I cant say I have had that happen, nor have I heard of it happening, maybe I am a little naive and maybe next time don't just hop in to bed due some praise and flirty. Choose the ones you get involved with a little more careful. get to know them, learn to ask the right questions and when they are speaking Listen

I know someone like this, it's because she got hurt so badly before, and I'd take a hazardous guess at this woman's ex husband being the culprit.
She longs for love but when she gets it, it's scares her off.
She dosn't want to get hurt so she puts up the barriers and stops it before she gets anymore involved and gets more vunerable.
It's a shame that you got caught up in it all
But it's that poor lass that you need to feel sorry for, you will find love & happiness, where she won't because she can't.

Been there done that. I was persistant and told her I was not just any guy. And like you I took responibility for getting invovled. We had two years of hell before she finally "woke up". Actually i told her enough was enough. That I was the best guy she would ever get( I treat her like a queen, so to speak) and to make a choice about her lifestyle. She's now my wife and we're quite happy but we've earned it too. Good luck to you in finding someone mature enough to realize a good thing when she sees it.

I guess she has a wacky attachment style due to her past history and experiences with relationships with family, friends, lovers, etc.
I dated two guys like this... I was naiive before, but now I have learned my lesson. It was the attention-getting stunts at the end that were really the kicker... that was what really makes me angry! the key is to try and figure out clues to that sort of behavior early on. It's hard though.
Um, well.... sex with crazies is bad, mmkay? [in the voice of that guy from South Park]

Nope, never have, because I can generally figure them out quickly and move on with no further contact. Of course I would not get involved sexually as quickly as you may have.
