The world does not need corrupt oppressive regimes like the one we support in Saudi, the poor people of Saudi are quite rightly upset about this, and turn their anger towards those who support it.
It is possible to buy oil from a country that observes basic human rights, and we should insist on it.
The Bush regime gets richer by the day, through it's links to the Saudis, and it is they that want to keep things as the are.
We should be investing the billions spent on illegal wars on developing new sources of energy, and fuel efficiency.

Until we can launch F-22's with domestic corn oil, i say better to put up with this "friend" until things change. By last account nobody could prove Bin Laden is getting one thin dime from the family as he was cut out years ago. Do I believe it? Hmmm not too sure about that one. As the saudi prince (lives in NYC) said " I put Crude on the streets of NY for 33 cents an gallon" Look at your American refineries and state and federal taxes for the rest of the money spent per gallon!

Do we need friends like Democrats?

Do we need Democrats who prevent us from drilling in Anwar?

Do we need Democrats who prevent us from building new oil processing facilities?

Do we need Democrats, (PA's Demo Governor: Fat Cat Randell wants a $0.15 per gallon tax) that raise taxes on gasoline and then claim that the oil companies and Republicans are the cause of high gas prices?

I say NO. Send all Democrats to Saudi Arabia with all the other unwanted!

No we don't really. But as long as the world runs on oil and the development of alternative sources is being held back we have little choice.
