The question was a joke and my response to the joke was "lol". I do believe that is a fair response to a joke that i thought was funny. Yahoo thought i was "point gaming" I dont believe i was point gaming since i was giving my honest opinion of the joke.... if you have ever had a violation against you.... please comment me and tell me about it...

i do believe answering a question that wasnt even a question with lol is perfectly acceptable..... if a joke is funny... i will tell someone so....it was just a joke not a question that needed to be answered..

I haven't had a violation notice **YET** (knock on wood) but I think "LOL" was a perfectly valid response to a joke. They need to lighten UP on their jokes and riddles category. I mean no one is going to give an actual "ANSWER" because the joke or riddle isn't a question.
I'm sorry the yahoo police got you.

Don't worry about it Roxy. It happens to all of us. Yahoo needs some serious management changes. They don't screen the complaints. They could have called your "lol" chatting or insults and you would have got a violation. Yahoo doesn't seem to understand that by them letting the petty violations continue it's just breeding more violation givers. Some people get mad and go violation happy.
Anywho, just have fun. =)

I don't like 'lol' or 'roflmao' or anyone of those things...it is a bit lazy in my opinion..

However, I will sometimes just right "ha ha" to a joke or something...which is no better or worse...

It is funny what gets people violation notices, there is seemingly no rhyme or reason to it....!

Good question though...you have got me thinking now!

I have been reported for violations when I've answered clearly racists questions with "you should be reported or you are really stirring the pot to get reactions" (probably by the person asking the racist question... I believe that there are people out there that are just trying to make your life miserable and they get their jollies from it...

Just try to move on and ignore the stupidity of it all... enjoy what you can, when you can...

I got an "adult content" violation for asking if anyone knew what my screen name meant, I've gotten several for "harrassment" for calling a joke teller a racist
They also owe me 50 best answer points from the last couple days

yahoo is stupid and if they don want people to speak the truth then they need to get rid of yahoo answers i asked a simple question about why trolls are always here and they deleted my question its okay for the sick people to come and harass us but if we ask a simple honest question they delete our question this is so sad

Yup, I agree with that. I once even complained- they disolved my account. So now I just shut up and let em spew what ever cr*p they want. They're idiots.
