Try to understand that if you based your viewing upon the bad traits of people in Hollywood and on TV, you wouldn't be going any movies or watching TV again.

I really think the liberals are making too big of deal about this. It's sad, but a lot of people are racists. It's time to drop it and move on, IMO.

Michael Richards has been in movies and other TV shows, yet nobody has mentioned his racist rant affecting how we perceive those shows or movies. We cannot condone what he did, and additionally should not punish viewers of the show that he is best known for. True fans will realize it was Michael, and not Kramer, that said those bad things, and they will continue to support and watch Seinfeld on TV and on DVD.

I do find it hard to separate some celebrities from their show personalities when watching a show. For example, I can't watch any Tom Cruise movie now without thinking what a weirdo he is in real life. So yes, watching Kramer on Seinfeld is different now. I think Richards' response is genuine, but it will be hard to recover. He was way over the line in that rant.

No....I will always love Seinfeld, and the character of Kramer will always be my favorite. I thought it might affect how I view it since "the rant"...but it has not. I have seen every episode at least 5 times over and loved the show before the rant. Doesn't affect me. It does, however affect anything he may do in the future with me....not that he'll ever work again.

Not at all - does anyone else find it interesting that the network news stations were able to dig up some old B-movie role Richards did in the 80's where he's done up in "black face" and commented that it was coming back to haunt him etc., but none that I have seen yet have showed the clip from the Seinfled episode where Kramer has to go meet the parents of the black girl he is dating, and he falls asleep in the tanning bed and shows up at the black family's apartment a little "darker" than ususal? Now everyone thought that was funny didn't they? I never heard any controversy on that one? What do you guys think?

I still love the show. Michael Richards racist ranting shouldn't reflect badly on the other members of the seinfeld cast.

I never really like kramer anyway...I love George and Elaine.

His career is over now after that though........

Oh my gosh yesss!!! I love Seinfeld and Kramer was one of my favorite tv characters of all time. I cant look at him the same way again. I dont care if he apoligized, if anything he's apoligizing to try and save his career, not because he really is sorry. He didnt seem sorry to me in the video even after he was confronted for using the slurs. I think he realized what he had done afterwards and tried to do damage control but its not believable to me. That video literally made me sick :( Ive said this before in another post but I have been mad at people of all ethnicities in my life and I have never used the color of their skin to try and put them down. What is that accomplishing? He seriously had no excuse.

Still good. even though kramer is on a racism rant , it doesnt mean that the loyal fans are going to abandon the seinfeld fans.

No. Seinfeld wasn't all about Kramer and I still find the show hilarious. Sales will continue to be good.
